Al-Batoul Ahmed's father passes every day in front of Hamedan General Hospital in Shamlan, Sana'a Governorate, and watches the crowding of people at the hospital, only to discover recently that nutrition services are distributed free of charge in the hospital, which saved his daughter, Al-Batoul, from the catastrophe of severe acute malnutrition.
Al-Batoul Ahmed started visiting the community health volunteer in the hospital in the month of April 2020, and her weight at that time was only 4.6 kilograms, which means that death awaits her and that acute malnutrition is killing her exhausted body.
Al-Batoul Ahmed underwent nutritional treatment for two and a half months, and she is admitted to Hamedan General Hospital and takes nutrition envelopes every day, and she is gradually recovering until her condition has reached stability.
Umm al-Batoul bitterly explains her experience with malnutrition, saying, "I did not sleep at night with my daughter, and the disease did not leave her since the early days of childhood, and she never knew life."
Now, thanks to the support provided by the World Food Program (WFP), and the implementation of MMF's nutrition project in the district, Al-Batoul is in good health, enjoying her most beautiful moments, and growing up every day in front of her parents, hoping for a better life.
