The Medical Mercy Foundation concluded a comprehensive training program in the field of safeguarding and beneficiary protection for all its employees, in partnership with the Resource and Support Center for Conservation in the Middle East and North Africa.
The program lasted for six months, and addressed the basics of protection, including understanding and assessing risks, protection standards, strategies and policies and what is required to provide protection, training and communicating policies and procedures, governance and accountability, developing human resources policies (safe recruitment), and building the capacity of staff and volunteers (communication, learning and development). ), secure media and communication software.
The program also included strategies for providing grants, mechanisms used in reporting methods and educating beneficiaries about them, in addition to forming partnerships, enhancing information and communications technology, and how to enhance the skills of participants in carrying out investigations regarding protection issues.
