A training session for community health volunteers in Hamedan District, Sana’a Governorate


In the opening session, Dr. Aiza Al-Saadi, Executive Director, stressed the importance of reaching out to all segments of society that suffer from malnutrition. Al-Saadi said that all volunteers should feel responsible in saving the community from the risk of moderate acute malnutrition, directing his thanks to the governorate's health office and the Supreme Council for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs for facilitating the work of compassion volunteers in the district. Al-Saadi explained that everyone should be aware of the danger of malnutrition that is destroying society in light of the wars and siege that the Yemeni people suffer from and the stifling economic crisis. In addition, the volunteers thanked the efforts of medical compassion in treating malnutrition diseases, as Medical Compassion has implemented the therapeutic feeding project in the district since 2018. A training session for community health volunteers in Hamedan district, Sana’a governorate, as part of the project to treat malnutrition diseases implemented by Compassion in the district.
